Welcome to Whispering Waters Mountain Retreat

Whispering Waters is a place where you can come to learn, to relax, to create and to just have fun! It is located in Boone, N.C., in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are adjacent to the historic New River and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. In this idyllic setting we offer classes and workshops for every interest and passion.From dog training to yoga and medical qi gong; from personal weight training to Indian cooking and decorative furniture painting, we want to fuel your passion as well as offer respite from a busy life.Our facility includes areas for informal classes, two outside decks, a treatment room and two bedrooms available for rental. The outside green space incorporates a fire pit area with chairs and benches. We invite you to come and visit us and see yourself !

Prenatal

Natural Flow Childbirth Education: designed to offer practical ideas for this Childbearing Year ~ your nine months of pregnancy and the first 3 months after, including information and practice on a healthy pregnancy, natural birth (partner support, pain management, resources), breastfeeding, mama and baby care, and birth art, providing a nurturing environment with opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts and ideas, and support fellow participants. Led by Christie Fredenburg, CPM and Allison Rollans & both are Certified Holistic Doulas.

Flow Yoga

Kim Becnel Bio-- A graduate of the Asheville Yoga Center's Teacher Training Program, Kim teaches classes that emphasize connecting movement and breath, increasing body awareness, and cultivating both strength and flexibility. Yoga Flow--This one hour guided practice will feature breathing exercises and yoga postures designed for a mixed-level audience. Students will be encouraged to explore the connection between body and breath and cultivate an increased sense of self-awareness, both on and off the mat. Cost: 5 dollars per class.

---Take 421 South out of Boone towards Wilkesboro. You will pass New Market Centre on the left, a shopping complex with Lowe’s Foods and Regal Cinema.---Continue on 421 South. A couple of miles after passing New Market Centre, look for a Food Lion on the left. There is a red light just past the Food Lion. Continue STRAIGHT through the light at the Food Lion.---Go 0.7 miles and turn LEFT on N. Pine Run Rd.---Go 0.7 miles and turn LEFT on Hemlock Hill..---Take the first RIGHT on Chigger Mountain Lane. ---Take this road until the end. (~1/4 mile) The retreat is at 275 Chigger Mountain Lane.
